StreakUp ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
StreakUp does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email, or phone number.
All habit data, streaks, XP progress, levels, and settings you create are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
To maintain app stability and improve user experience, we use Firebase Crashlytics, which automatically collects limited technical information when the app crashes or encounters errors:
- • Device model and manufacturer
- • Operating system version
- • App version
- • Crash logs and stack traces
- • General device state at the time of crash (memory usage, battery level, etc.)
This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. It is used solely to diagnose and fix technical issues.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the automatically collected information described above for the following purposes:
- • To identify and fix crashes and technical errors
- • To improve app stability and performance
- • To understand which devices and OS versions require optimization
We do not:
- • Sell or share your data with advertisers
- • Use your data for marketing or profiling
- • Track your behavior across other apps or websites
- • Collect your location, contacts, photos, or other personal content
3. Third-Party Services
StreakUp integrates the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle data:
Purpose: Crash reporting and diagnostics
Data Collected: Device information, crash logs, app version, anonymous identifiers
Privacy Policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Crashlytics does not collect personally identifiable information and is used exclusively for app stability improvements.
Purpose: In-app purchases (Premium features) and in-app reviews
Data Collected: Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play. We do not have access to your payment information.
Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Note: We do not use any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking services. Firebase Crashlytics is configured to collect only crash data, not analytics or user behavior.
4. Data Storage & Security
Local Storage: All your habit data is stored locally on your device using Android's internal storage. This data is sandboxed and accessible only to the StreakUp app.
No Cloud Sync: We do not sync your data to cloud servers or any remote storage. Your data remains on your device at all times.
Security: While we implement industry-standard security practices, you are responsible for protecting your device with a secure lock screen to prevent unauthorized access.
5. Permissions
StreakUp requests the following Android permissions:
Purpose: To send you optional habit reminders at times you choose
Notifications are generated locally on your device. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's system settings or within the app.
We do not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, or any other sensitive permissions.
6. In-App Purchases
StreakUp offers optional Premium features through Google Play's in-app billing system.
All payment processing is handled securely by Google Play. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card information, billing address, or other payment details.
Purchase information is subject to Google Play's privacy policy and terms of service.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
User Data: Since all habit data is stored locally on your device, it is retained until you uninstall the app or manually clear the app's data through Android settings. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local data.
Crash Data: Crash logs collected by Firebase Crashlytics are retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted. This data is anonymous and cannot be linked back to you.
If you wish to stop crash data collection, you can uninstall the app at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
StreakUp does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).
Since we do not require account creation or collect personal data, the app can be used safely by users of all ages. However, parents and guardians should supervise in-app purchases.
9. Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal data beyond anonymous crash reports, traditional data rights (access, correction, deletion) do not apply in the usual sense.
However, you always have the right to:
- • Uninstall the app at any time to delete all local data
- • Disable notifications through system settings
- • Contact us with privacy concerns or questions
10. International Users
StreakUp can be used globally. Since data is stored locally on your device, it remains in your jurisdiction.
Anonymous crash data processed by Firebase Crashlytics may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where Google operates data centers, in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
